my heart,
my love,
my soul.
I thought we were happy.
I thought we had it all.
Now I sit here,
in a flood of my salty tears,
caused by you.
Everything was a lie.
Every word you said.
All the photos of us,
torn from their frames,
washed away.
So many lies,
and I saw only what I wanted to.
So blinded by my love for you,
I couldn't see through the beautiful lie,
which now taints every memory,
tarnishes each gift you ever gave,
simply because you never
gave me the one gift
that meant anything at all,
your heart.
I've come to the sad realization,
no matter how much I do,
